Terms and Conditions

1. General Terms

1.1. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all services provided by Cloudy Laundry Pty Ltd ("Cloudy Laundry", "we", "us", "our") through our website or email.

1.2. We may update these Terms from time to time, and the latest version published on our website will apply to your booking.

2. Booking and Cancellation

2.1. All bookings will receive a written confirmation via email with booking details.

2.2. You may cancel your booking up to at least 4 hours before the scheduled collection time without charge.

2.3. Cancellations made less than 4 hours before collection will incur a $15 administration fee.

2.4. Cloudy Laundry reserves the right to cancel your order if:

  • There is an event outside our control
  • Items are not available for collection, which will incur a $15 no-show fee
  • Items are damaged or lack cleaning instructions
  • Items do not correspond with your booking, or
  • Items fall outside our accepted categories

3. Collection and Delivery

3.1. We will make reasonable efforts to collect and deliver at the specified times but do not guarantee exact timing.

3.2. A minimum service charge of $55 applies per booking.

3.3. Failed delivery attempts at agreed location & time will incur a $15 redelivery fee if another delivery is needed.

3.4. Items unclaimed for more than 60 days after the invoice date will be considered abandoned and may be disposed of at our discretion.

4. Payment

4.1. An invoice will be emailed based on the service provided, before the delivery time.

4.2. We accept payment via:

  • Credit Card
  • Debit Card
  • Direct Bank Transfer

4.3. No merchant fee will be applied to card payments.

4.4. Items will be delivered only after payment is received in full.

5. Service Process

5.1. Our standard process includes, unless otherwise specified in the booking instructions:

  • Cold wash
  • Separately wash by colors (lights vs. darks)
  • Machine / tumble drying
  • Any other requirements, please specify in the booking instructions

5.2. We are not responsible for:

  • Color bleeding or transfer during washing
  • Damage from items left in pockets (coins, keys, etc.)
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Pre-existing damage

6. Special Care Items

6.1. Items requiring special care must be clearly indicated in the booking instructions at the time of booking.

6.2. Without specific instructions, items will be processed according to our standard process or their care labels.

7. Stain Treatment

7.1. We do not guarantee the removal of all stains.

7.2. Standard stain treatment is available at additional cost and can be professionally performed without prior notice.

8. Liability

8.1. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service for the affected item(s).

8.2. We are not liable for:

  • Loss of profit
  • Business interruption
  • Consequential losses
  • Items left in safe places
  • Damage due to improper care instructions

9. Payment Default

9.1. Late payments will incur interest at 15% per annum.

9.2. You agree to pay all costs incurred in collecting overdue payments.

10. Dispute Resolution

10.1. Disputes must be reported in writing within 7 days of delivery.

10.2. Both parties agree to negotiate in good faith to resolve any disputes.

11. Privacy

11.1. We collect and use personal information to:

  • Provide laundry services
  • Process payments
  • Communicate service updates
  • Send relevant marketing communications (with opt-out option)

11.2. We do not share personal information with third parties except as required for service delivery.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Australian law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.
